B.o.B ft. Nicki Minaj - Out Of My Mind

Posted 3 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Dr. Luke, Alex da Kid and DJ Frank E
Album:
Strange Clouds

B.o.B. is a man just as capable of crooning an acoustic guitar ballad as he is rhyming hard next to Playboy Tre. So it only makes sense that after previous single Both Of Us, featuring pop princess Taylor Swift, Bobby Ray has chosen to get back on the hip-hop side of the equation and selected the hard charging Out of My Mind as his official next single. Dr. Luke, Alex da Kid and DJ Frank E join forces to put together a dubstep-influenced beat that’s as schizophrenic as the title suggests, chopping and rewinding the instrumental’s sonic elements until their source can’t be recognized. If we’re talking crazy then we’re talking a Nicki Minaj guest verse, although Nicki actually comes through with a relatively subdued verse for her (bonus points for her Airplanes reference though). It’s really B.o.B. who thoroughly lets his cerebellum snap on the mic – in fact, at one point I think he might actually run over a deer. Those able to relate to B.o.B.’s insane tendencies can find plenty more borderline-insane music on his recently released Strange Clouds album.
