Bobby Creekwater - Junkie

Bobby Creekwater

In DJ Z‘s recent interview with the ATL emcee, Bobby Creekwater stated that his forthcoming B.C. Era Deuce mixtape would prove once and for all that he’s much more than another “tough guy” rapper.  If the newly-released Junkie is any indication, Creek was speaking the gospel truth; on this introspective, metaphor-laced cut, the Shady Records emcee reminisces about how how he became incurably addicted to the allure of the rap game, even spitting a few thoughtful bars on the double standards that fuel our society’s love-hate relationship with the genre.  If the lyrical ability on display here doesn’t convince you that Creek’s one of the most talented up-and-comers in the game, the artist’s own beat, a lush mix of strings, brass, and dreamy background vocals, will.  If this record leaves you wondering what else the multitalented emcee has up his sleeve, be sure to grab The B.C. Era Deuce when it drops on March 5th.
