Bobby Creekwater - Power

Bobby Creek & Triangle Offense
Album:
A Brilliant Mistake

Performing street lyrics over a club beat is usually a recipe for disaster (see Memphis Bleek).  So naturally, the same such lyrics would especially sound out of place over a smooth jazz track, right?  Well, yes, except Bobby Creekwater disagrees.  The Atlanta MC spits his newest street anthem, Power, over the backing of his jazz band, Triangle Offense.  “How does he make it work?” you may ask?  With a unique combination of grown-man style and street vet grunge of course!  Such artistry deserves to get constant airplay, but alas, it may be too ahead of its time for Bobby Creekwater to benefit.
