Boy Wonder - Fire

Album:
The Return of Tampa's Trillest

Back in January, Boy Wonder introduced himself to our pages with 2 of Everything, a record which, despite lukewarm reader reviews, has enjoyed considerable success on our Club Hip Hop Chart. (As of my writing, it sits at #9.) Today, the Tampa rapper/producer returns to set the Booth ablaze once again with Fire, a freshly-released single off his next studio album. While a rapper comparing his bars to a raging inferno is nothing new, Wonder’s braggadocious energy is infectious, and beatsmith Jack Swaggson street-ready boardwork (cleverly incorporating a sampled smoke alarm) adds to the appeal. The Return of Tampa’s Trillest is scheduled for independent release before the year is out. In the meantime, watch our pages for the latest song releases off the much-anticipated set.
