Bryce Vine - Sour Patch Kids

Lazy Fair EP

Right now, I have a bag of Sour Patch Kids stashed in a satchel on the other side of the room, just waiting to be consumed. I was planning on saving them for later but, since Bryce Vine‘s reminded me of their presence with his Booth debut, I’m thinking I’ll take that sugar fix right now. Released along with some quirky visuals by Stewart Yost, this cut is every bit as sweet, vibrant and addictive as the gummy candy from which it takes its name. Over his own bouncy bassline and Eastern-tinged string loops, Bryce reminisces about the carefree existence he enjoyed as a young’n. Though the artist may be grown, his inner child is clearly in good health; everything about this cut evokes the creativity and enthusiasm of youth. For Sour Patch and much more, check out Vine’s Lazy Fair EP, available online as of April 22.
