Butta Verses ft. Crystal Carr - Always

Posted about 4 years ago
Producer:
Hannibal Smith
Album:

It’s no secret that artists tend to throw around the phrase “keeping it real” like a pigskin at Lambeau Field, but every so often that same realness is noticeably missing in action. Not one to hold back, Bronx-born rhymer Butta Verses keeps it very real on his latest single, Always, as he touches on his grievous fall from the spotlight. The record is about as candid as they come as the emcee comments on the pleasantries that come with almost being famous including a slew of live shows, a nice helping of cash, and of course plenty of women. Adding to the melancholy tone of the Hannibal Smith-produced record is songstress Crystal Carr, who lends her haunting vocals to Always’ hook. Details on Butta Verses’ forthcoming mixtape remain scarce, but as of now the project will boast production from Marco Polo, The Mighty V.I.C. and more.
