MOB: The Album

Thanks to the massive success of We Fly High, Jim Jones has become the face of the Diplomats.  After numerous guest appearances, a new deal with Sony, and the moderately successful Harlem’s American Gangster, the former Capo is bringing his Byrdgang crew into the spotlight with the July 1 release of M.O.B. (Members Of Byrdgang): The Album.  On a potential follow-up to the reworked single Splash, Jones offers a somewhat more emotional verse than we’re used to hearing, openly acknowledging his fear of the feds, rival gangs, and how fast his Heart Beat increases when he’s around both.  Backed up by NOE, Hell Rell and a beat by Oneya (for the Ulepics), Heart Beat is one of the brighter moments on the M.O.B.
