Stone And Rob: Caught On Tape (Unreleased Japanese B-Side)

If you’re one of those music buffs who just can’t rest till you’ve hunted down every single song your favorite artists have ever released, ever, you’re probably aware that, when American or European artists release their music overseas, they often tack on a bonus track or two.  Such is the case with this record, a Japanese-only B-side of Camp Lo‘s previously-featured single, On Smash.  On the unreleased cut, Sonny Cheeba and Geechi Suede rally up the Get Em Lo Gang to get down with get-down like only they know how.  If you’re a fan of the veteran duo, you know what to expect: Ski and Apple Juice Kid of Grindhouse serve up a catchy, brassy funk instrumental straight out of a ‘70s Blaxploitation flick as Stone and Rob spit freewheeling verses brimming with slicked-up innuendo, sinister imagery, and absolutely unfathomable slang.  Stone & Rob: Caught on Tape is available now for free download, and fans should check back with the Booth this June for Camp Lo’s contribution to our exclusive freestyle series.
