Chamillionaire - Some Things Never Change

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
Mike Saint

Fresh off earning positive reader reviews for September’s thought-provoking Don’t Shoot, Chamillionaire returns with another promo cut to tide fans over as they wait for news on his long-delayed junior set. On Some Things Never Change, the Houston veteran reminds us that, even in the fast-paced world we inhabit, there are certain constants—including Cham’s commitment to his hustle, his love for his city and (on the negative side) the baleful influence of herbs and lames on hip-hop. The emcee’s mordant commentary on the state of the game comes backed by Mike Saint‘s slow-rolling percussion, organ chords, and languid guitar licks. Change isn’t attached to a larger set, but those feeling it can stay tuned for more high-quality loosies, as well as the latest on forthcoming LP Poison.
