Charles Hamilton - Windows Media Player

Posted 8 years ago
Producer:
Charles Hamilton
Album:
Unreleased

Let us take a moment to raise a toast to computers and the Internet, the biggest tools in shaping hip-hop into what it is today.  While many artists have taken advantage of these technological marvels, producer-songwriter-singer-rapper Charles Hamilton takes it to the Nth degree with his Excel-lent display of Wordplay, Windows Media Player.  In addition to making a Power(ful)Point in his lyrics, the Harlem native has composed a hook consisting entirely of his MySpace and Blogspot websites.  His biggest display of musical Paint, however, is his sampling of the Windows XP startup, login, and shutdown chimes (with some mouse clicks included) on the production.  With all this put together, Windows Media Player should open a few more Gates for Charles Hamilton’s musical future; at the very least, it can be the official theme song for computer/music nerds such as myself.
