CharlieRED - Could Be

CharlieRED‘s new video single Could Be is one the most thought provoking visuals you’ll see in under five shots. If you’re unfamiliar with CharlieRED, the self proclaimed hip-hop/blues duo hail from the Big Apple, and they could be just the answer to hip-hop’s gritty street anthem obsession. Their latest project, the Religion EP, was released this past September, and the alluring Could Be is one of its most unique tracks. Heavy drum smacks and a pitter-patter of guitar strums from producer Cobaine Ivory give an eerie yet sensual feeling as CharlieRED vocalist Rocki Evans coos over the rhythmic thumps, “this could be love, this could be you, this could be us, me and you..” The visual does an ideal job of capturing the essence of the song while staying in one location; it’s surprising how much emotion could be conveyed in such space, which might just be the perfect way to describe Religion as well, available for purchase and stream via The DJBooth.
