Chaundon ft. YC The Cynic & DJ Flash - Prosperity

Posted 3 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
ATG
Album:
The Jammington

Ever since the post-Civil War era, African-Americans have been struggling to get their rightful piece of the pie. Unfortunately, their journey toward Prosperity hasn’t been without setbacks—according to a Pew Research article from 2011, racial wealth gaps have risen to record highs. On Chaundon‘s latest single, the Golden Era Music Inc. rhymesayer takes a mordant look at the plight of the “black man in America,” stating his own intention to get a slice by any means necessary. Joining the headliner over ATG‘s moody, atmospheric boom-bap production, YC the Cynic affirms his own determination to succeed on the back end, and DJ Flash ties the record together with a sampled hook. Director Alex Glassman provides some appropriately dark, gritty visuals to complement the cut. For more, check out Chaundon’s The Jammington LP, available for purchase on iTunes as of March.
