Chiddy Bang x Ellie Goulding - Under the Sheets (Remix)

Posted 6 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Xaphoon Jones
Album:
Air Swell Mixtape

Fresh off their Booth-approved remix of the Gorillaz’ spacey Stylo, emcee-producer duo Chiddy Bang are back to introduce fans to a UK phenom who has yet to make the big jump stateside. On the inaugural leak off their forthcoming “remixtape,” the twosome take on dance-pop scorcher Under the Sheets, the lead single off English singer/songwriter Ellie Goulding‘s debut full-length (a #1 smash on the UK charts). With the help of some straight-outta-Super Mario 8-bit synths and a driving breakbeat, Xaphoon Jones flips Starsmith‘s original production into an even catchier backdrop for Chiddy’s energetic rhymes, which go from boastful (“My definition is high, I think it’s Blu-Ray / and I still could care less what you say…”) to remorseful (“Every time I try to fix it I be breakin’ her heart… shawty don’t leave me, I’ll make it so easy.”) and back over the course of the record. If this head-nodding remix leaves you hungry for more, you won’t want to miss the duo’s Air Swell street album, a collection of remixes set to hit the ‘net after this month’s SXSW festival.
