Childish Gambino - Fire Fly

Posted 4 years ago
Producer:
Donald Glover, Ludwig Goransson
Album:
Camp

After the recent release of his first mixtape cut, Eat Your Vegetables, Childish Gambino serves up the fourth single from his Glassnote Records debut album, Camp. Fire Fly, a certified car cruiser, is self-produced alongside Ludwig Goransson. From the word “GO,” the track’s horn chords and key melodies automatically put the listener in the mood for a picturesque drive down the Cali coast with a lady riding shotgun just taking in the sights. Paired with a catchy hook, Gambino handily smashes through his 16’s like he’s a seasoned vet. He’s definitely letting the fans know that he can indeed hold his own in the game, regardless of the doubters from his past who never thought it would happen. Gambino’s self-titled mixtape still doesn’t have a release date, but when it drops it’s sure to give you more of the fire that he brought us on Camp. As always, check in The DJBooth for more info on when it drops.
