ChrisCo ft. Jon Connor & Elzhi - Straight Up

Posted 4 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
DJ Premier
Album:
Mi State of Mind

Ladies and gentlemen, you have entered the No-Spin Zone. And I’m not talking about Bill O’Reilly’s No Spin Zone, which, of course, contains more spin than Kendrick Lamar‘s head after a swimming pool full of dranks. No—when ChrisCo says he’s going to give it to you Straight Up, straight up is how it’s gonna be. On this new single, the Detroit repper’s first feature since September 2011 Booth debut A Different High, DJ Premier cooks up a head-noddable boom-bap instrumental (complete with one of his trademark, vocal-sampled hooks) to back the headliner as he delivers bars packed with pure and unvarnished truth. Fellow Mitten State mic-rockers Jon Connor and Elzhi keep it equally real on the guest tip. Fans will be able to find this record and much more on Chris’ Mi State of Mind LP, set to hit the ‘net September 21.
