Coalmine Records ft. Royce da 5’9”, Skillz & Diamond D - One for the Money

Coalmine Records may be in it for the currency but, as long as their paper chase leads them to keep churning out high-quality underground bangers like new single One for the Money, I have a feeling few heads will be complaining. The latest release off the imprint’s Unearthed LP, this acquisitive hustle anthem sees Boston beatmaker and Kreators alum G-Squared interweaving sampled strings with old-school cuts as a trio of veteran mic-murderers detail their life-long love affairs with the Almighty Dollar. Slaughterhouse member Royce Da 5’9” heads off the pack, schooling his underground colleagues on street entrepreneurship before passing the mic to DMV lyricist Skillz for a tightly-wound middle contribution, and Bronx icon Diamond D closes proceedings on a braggadocious note. Feeling it? More hot beats and top-tier lyrical talent await on Unearthed, scheduled to drop in the second quarter of 2013.
