Colin Munroe ft. Kendrick Lamar & Ab-Soul - Scars N Stars

Colin Munroe
Album:

Over the past year or so the TDE crew has been rock solid when it comes to collaborations. Collectively they’ve put in work with Dr. Dre, Macklemore, 50 Cent and countless others. So it should come as no surprise that Canadian crooner Colin Munroe recruited TDE spitters Ab-Soul and Kendrick Lamar for Unsung Hero mixtape inclusion Scars N Stars. The Unsung Hero stand out selection is quite unique to say the least, featuring Munroe’s wispy vocals and distinct production, a distant-sounding Lamar on the hook, and last but certainly not least there’s Ab-Soul with his momentous 16. Die-hard Kendrick fans will likely be a little perturbed by the absence of a verse from the emcee on Scars N Stars, but I’m pretty sure that Ab-Soul’s stellar effort will far make up for it. Unsung Hero was released on Tuesday, September 4 and is currently available for free stream and download on DJBooth.
