Just in time for the NFL playoffs, Slaughterhouse spitter Crooked I has released a single to give some extra motivation to anyone who has ever been called an underdog (haven’t we all?). New release Game Time gives listeners the feeling they have the world on their shoulders and no one believes in them, well, except for Crooked. Produced by Komplex, fast hi-hats mixed with synths set up a dramatic intro/instrumental that sounds straight out of a sports flick. Crooked accompanies the beat with lyrics that are both motivational and familiar to anyone who has had to overcome an obstacle: you can throw everything, including the proverbial kitchen sink, at him and he still will succeed. Having already accomplished so much, the Long Beach native is still out for far more and ready to get it all by his lonesome, haters and doubters be damned. In fact, as he states, “All I need in this life of sin, is me and my hustling.” With Game Time Crooked has a nice promo single that can fire anyone up for an event, a tough day, or whatever you need to get amped for.
