If You Knew how dope Cryptic Wisdom‘s music was, you’d already have purchased his latest EP. In this special case, however, ignorance really may be bliss—those who still haven’t been introduced to the Tucson rhymesayer will be soon be able to stream and download an expanded version of the project for free in The DJBooth. In order to get you properly amped about its arrival, we’ve selected a standout cut to serve as the emcee’s debut feature on our pages. Here, TellingBeatzz‘s pensive, keyboard-led production backs the rapper as he recounts his traumatic experiences as an elementary-school pariah. While he managed to break the vicious cycle of bullying, he urges those listening to step in when they see someone being mistreated, lest the victim be forced to transform into an aggressor. This insightful cut is just one of many to be found on the expanded edition of Cryptic Wisdom’s One EP, scheduled to hit our front page on Wednesday for free streaming and digital download.
