This Ain't No Mixtape

Mixtapes are known to kick off many artists’ careers, but, in Curren$y‘s case, they saved his.  After leaving both No Limit and Young Money because of their failure to promote his albums, New Orleans’ Hot Spitta has since released numerous mixtapes, gotten a spot on XXL’s “10 Freshmen list,” and – you guessed it – gotten back to work on that album, appropriately named This Ain’t No Mixtape.  To give his longtime (and newly-gained) fans a sneak preview as to what’s to come, Mr. Fly Society spits basic, to-the-point verses about being “on Top of the Money like a dope-boy mattress” now that he’s his own boss.  This Ain’t No Mixtape currently has no set release date, but if the fans continue to respond, you can expect that to change.
