The Underclassmen EP

They say that nothing lasts forever, except death. No matter what material objects you acquire in this lifetime you can’t take them with you, but there is a way to achieve some semblance of immortality – create works of art that will live on well past your last breath. Da Youngfellaz, who we last heard Incognito, are back in the Booth with a video for The Underclassmen EP song Last Forever, a smooth and soulful joint that owes much of its heart to a classically-trained instrumental from producer Ralph Myerz and some beautiful vocals from L. Michele. On the microphone tip Youngfellaz emcees Jay Storm and Sho-Biz let us in on their plans to achieve something more long lasting then here today, gone tomorrow internet fame: “Stuntin hard all the time like we do this for TV / College dropout making good music, they thought I was Yeezy.” Luckily fans won’t have to wait forever for new music. The duo’s journey towards longevity continues next Tuesday, July 31, when their new EP, Sophisticated Ignorance, arrives on The DJBooth’s pages for free streaming and purchase. Until then, enjoy.
