True hip-hop heads are aware that, in addition to their ten official members, the Wu-Tang Clan boasts hundreds of other affiliated acts (if you tried naming them all, it would take up about five blurbs’ worth of space).  One of them has been active in hip-hop since the ‘80s, but recently emerged as a member of the duo A.I.G. (Allah Is God), which released its self-titled debut album in 2005.  Darkim Be Allah recently achieved underground acclaim with the release of a solo mixtape, titled God In The Ghetto.  Though the title track is only about 2 minutes and 30 seconds long, Darkim makes the most of its short running time.  In true Wu-Tang style, the emcee mixes street topics with intelligent lyricism over beatsmith d.C.‘s old-school instrumental. God In The Ghetto is likely to be a “love it or hate it” feature, but fans of classic hip-hop will undoubtedly appreciate what it has to offer.
