David Banner ft. Maino - Castles in Brooklyn

Posted 4 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Hector Delgado
Album:
Sex, Drugs & Video Games

Though David Banner‘s undoubtedly been busy promoting his forthcoming album (and the burgeoning movement which it represents), the Mississippi native’s found time to work a little travel into his schedule. Fresh off chronicling an L.A. vacation gone horribly wrong on reader-acclaimed single Californication, the rapper/producer jets all the way to the opposite coast on the project’s latest leak, Castles in Brooklyn. Hector Delgado mans the boards on this braggadocious joint, chopping and screwing a sample from the BeastiesBrass Monkey as Banner shows us around his not-so-humble abode—and introduces us to his main local squeeze. As on the aformentioned banger, the artist recruits a little local flavor on the guest tip; in between the headliner’s freaky opening and closing bars, Hustle Hard/Atlantic spitter Maino grabs the mic to shout-out his women in every corner of the borough: “I got a bad b*tch from Fort Greene, a dime out in Red Hook, a girl from the Stuy and a queen that’s from Flatbush.Sex, Drugs & Video Games is scheduled for free digital release May 22. In the meantime, fans can learn more about the project, and the 2M1 Movement, by peeping the artist’s exclusive “In the Mix” interview. If you like what you learn, you can click here to donate to the cause and bring Banner one step closer to his $2,000,000 goal.
