Dee-1 ft. Killer Mike - Never Clockin Out (Remix)

Posted 3 years ago

Most people get to go home after a hard day’s work; Dee-1, on the other hand, has vowed to make every moment count toward his hustle. Having clocked in the moment he spit his first rhyme, the New Orleans buzzmaker’s Never Clockin’ Out. The officially remixed version of a record originally featured back in August 2011, this cut finds the Booth fave departing from his usual, soulful underground style to celebrate his hella fide work ethic in a bass-booming hustle anthem. The message, however, remains the same—over DJ FU‘s icy bells and synth arpeggios, the artist stresses the game’s need for emcees who can change lives, not just line their own pockets. Newly-added for this version of the record, ATL stalwart Killer Mike contributes some springy, street-ready flows on the back. Featuring this cut, previously-featured song release The Very Best and much more, #TheFocusTape is scheduled for free digital release October 9.
