Devin Miles - Some Shxt

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
Ric & Thadeus
Album:
None (Promo Single)

You know it’s Some Shxt when a rap record concludes with an audio clip from Kenny Loggins and Michael McDonald’s This Is It.  Pittsburgh-representer Devin Miles doesn’t shy away from making this bold choice on his latest offering. Rewind several minutes prior to the aforementioned rousing conclusion from Loggins on Some Shxt and we’re met with bluesy strings, which are eventually joined by a nice helping of hip-hop heavy percussion. Backed by robust boardwork from Ric & Thadeus, Miles goes on to tell a tale of bad chicks, Swisher’s, and other pimpish pleasantries. Although Some Shxt may serve as the east coast native’s first Booth feature in roughly two months, his Booth-hosted This Is How I Live project, which is still available for free stream and download, should help to hold you over in between features.
