Dizzee Rascal ft. Pepper - Scream

Hip-Hop is continuing to showoff its Olympic spirit this week, thanks to the release of UK emcee Dizzee Rascal‘s latest single Scream. Scream is one of only a handful of songs, and notably the only rap records, to serve as one of the official songs for the London 2012 Olympic Games. On Scream, Dizzee enlists protégé and Dirtee Stank signee Katie Pepper for the song’s larger than life hook. Paired with an unknown producer’s harp-laced production Dizzee’s boastful lyrics take on a much more inspiring tone as the song progresses. Accompanying the British rapper’s latest record is a music video, which features clips of famed fictional boxer Robert “Rocky” Balboa as well as footage of several high points in Dizzee’s career (including an encounter with Jay-Z). Scream is currently available for pre-order on iTunes.
