Dizzy Wright - New Generation

Album:

From the Book of Rick James: “A mighty turnt rapper once proclaimed that it was Turn Up Season and it was so. That rapper’s name is Dizzy Wright.” If you don’t trust our sources, you can use New Generation, a standout selection from the Funk Volume emcee’s newly-released State of Mind EP, as a secondary reference. Fitting that we chose to highlight the 6ix-produced track today, as half of the country woke up to snow in April; clearly Turn Up Season doesn’t follow the calendar or the weather report. It’s all about your mindset. And after a second listen, it sounds like the Vegas native created the record to hype himself up just as much as his fans. We’re not mad at that, at all.
