DJ Fresh ft. Dizzee Rascal - The Power

Posted 4 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
DJ Fresh
Album:
None (Promo Single)

At the best moments, DJing in the club is a little like being a Greek deity. From your position atop Mount Olympus (i.e., the booth), you can influence the affairs of mere mortals (i.e. clubgoers) by manipulating the forces of nature (i.e., your musical selections). On his first feature and latest promo single, DJ Fresh exults in The godlike Power he wields over the dancefloor, demonstrating his fearsome party-starting abilities with the assistance of one of London’s foremost mic-rockers. Coming on the heels of UK #1 singles Louder and Hot Right Now, this adrenaline-pumping jam sees the headliner pairing a robotic vocal hook with throbbing, four-on-the floor percussion and electro-house synth squeals. Dizzee Rascal helps listeners get hype on the front and back, urging all in attendance to follow his lead as his “part[ies] till there ain’t no air in [his] lungs left.” If you’re listening to this record in front of your computer screen rather than at the local spot (which I’m assuming you are, since you’re logged into the Booth), not to worry; Rohan Blair-Mangat ‘s official visuals, shot in Miami during the Winter Conference 2012, should give you an idea of the impact Power will have pumping through a club sound system. While this hi-octane banger is currently unattached to any forthcoming project, fans can keep it locked for further bangers from both DJ Fresh and Dizzee Rascal.
