DJ Muggs - Deep Purple

Album:

Fresh off the release of aurally aggressive, Danny Brown-assisted single Headfirst, DJ Muggs is squeezing in one more fresh song release prior to his new solo set’s arrival in the coming week. Making its world premiere right here in The DJBooth, Deep Purple sees the Cypress Hill vet momentarily setting aside the guest features for a pure and unfiltered demonstration of his production skills. A refreshing change of pace from its predecessors, this instrumental is dubstep minus the “step,” driven by delayed reggae riffs and a leisurely Caribbean rhythm. Bass for Your Face is scheduled to hit record stores and online retailers Tuesday, January 14, via Ultra Records, but Boothgoers can get a sneak peek on the 13th, when we feature the album as an exclusive, free stream.
