DK - 5 Years

None (Promo Single)

Y’all remember Miss Cleo, right? You know, the lady on those infomercials that supposedly could tell you about your future. One can only assume that her career was short-lived, since nobody in the world can correctly predict the future (I wonder if she saw it coming?). As badly as we want to know what’s in store, any guesses are mere conjecture. Booth-approved emcee DK may not be a fortuneteller either, but that doesn’t stop him from trying to predict his own future on his latest promo single. 5 Years finds the Windy City emcee sharing his thoughts and concerns for the future on a smooth, introspective track. Nate Kiz’ beat chimes as DK contributes a laidback flow and a strong lyrical display, making him relatable and human, something often missing in hip-hop. 5 Years is not attached to anything larger, but I am sure it wont be five years until we hear from DK once more.
