Album:
Beauty From Without

For an aspiring emcee, who is wondering how get their music to grace the pages of DJBooth, there are a few things you should and should not do. For instance, do not send us a remix of Call Me Maybe. You should, however, consider obtaining an awesome guest feature or two on your record. Take Dubb Sicks for example. On his first Booth appearance the Lone Star State emcee offers up I’m Gowne, a brand new single featuring the stylings of Booth regular Rittz and fellow Texan Corey Kendrix. The former, who recently announced that his debut album,The Life and Times of Jonny Valiant, will drop in April, contributes a rapid fire, gritty verse that sets the track off nicely. Not to be outdone, the headliner and Kendrix both put forth a solid effort, showing that they can spit with the best of them. For more liquor-doused, attitude filled cuts check out Sick’s latest project, Beauty From Without, out now via iTunes.
