While many rappers are bragging about why they are the best around, displaying the cars, fame, jewels, big booty women and other materialistic items to prove it, El Prez has taken a different approach. On his new single, Dedication, Prez pays homage to all the real leaders in the world that teach by example and truly make a difference. Starting off with a bass and snare kit, producer M Will Shogun (the son of the legendary Marley Marl) adds a melodic horn section and a light bell to give the track a motivational feel guaranteed to keep you focused on the lyrical gems Prez drops. Speaking of which, the Animal Style creator makes sure listeners understand what real Hip-Hop is and tries to swing the spotlight away from false idols and onto the people living to make the world a betrer place. Ultimately though, El Prez has dedicated a song to y’all, so listen and take a note! This conscious jam can be found on the Inglewood representer’s forthcoming, punnily titled album #LEADERSH*T, which is still awaiting an exact release date.
