Elite - Something Beautiful

For the sake of my happiness and mental health, I try to make sure I experience Something Beautiful every day. I’ve already met today’s quota, thanks to Dreamville recording artist and producer Elite. The follow-up to the reader-approved Game 7, this freshly-released mixtape single offers a more upbeat spin on its predecessor’s ethereal style. Over a string-fortified sample from Pascal Pinon’s Þerney (One Thing), Elite chronicles his grind in upbeat, high-energy verses. Created in collaboration with Jon Saks, the official video documents the events of the artist’s last year, which found him moving from Connecticut to Brooklyn; keep your eyes peeled for a cameo from J. Cole! Something Beautiful is just one of many fresh cuts to be found on the Level Up street album, dropping digitally tomorrow (11/20).
