ELMNT - Tesla’s Son

Stara-Nova

Last night, the Toronto Raptors played their first game of the 2013 season, facing off against the Celtics. To support his city, ELMNT made a deal with fans via Twitter: if T-Dot caught a W, he’d release a fresh record off his forthcoming full-length. After watching his team defeat Boston by five points, the rapper/producer held down his side of the bargain by liberating Tesla’s Son, a dreamy single loosely-inspired by the Serbian-American inventor Nikolas Tesla. Over Cam‘s jazzy, harp and woodwind-laced piano loops, ELMNT revisits the hustle-centric themes of his last feature, RI$K$, from a more mellow, contemplative perspective. Like what you’re hearing? Then watch our pages for further details on the artist’s Stara-Nova LP, scheduled to drop soon, after numerous delays, via The DJBooth.
