Emilio Rojas - Castro
Though Fidel Castro is no longer Cuba’s Prime Minister (now he’s just the Secretary of the Communist Party), he seems to be enjoying a surge of popularity in the hip-hop game. Fresh off lending his name to a free digital album by Mikkey Halsted, the cigar-chomping revolutionary gets name-dropped yet again on the latest single from Big Apple rhymesayer Emilio Rojas. J. Cardim (recently heard lending his production skills to records by Ariez Onasis, J The S and Tuge) mans the boards, serving up a clattering street instrumental to back the artist as he delivers verses inspired by Fidel’s allegedly high-rolling lifestyle. This joint isn’t set for inclusion on Rojas’ next project, but fans can expect details on the forthcoming set to be revealed in the very near future.
