Erk Tha Jerk x Fly Commons - Wizard of Oz

Featuring:

Fly Commons
Album:

Last we heard from Erk Tha Jerk and Fly Commons, the Bay Area emcee and producer were finna Blast Someone. So listeners might be a little surprised to find them skipping down the Yellow Brick Road on the follow-up. Well, this joint may be inspired by The Wizard of Oz, but it hits every bit as hard as its predecessor. Over his partner’s production, a tense, cinematic arrangement that makes dope use of the fiddle, Erk showcases his grimy flow as he interweaves braggadocio with sobering snapshots of the struggle. Feeling it? Then stay tuned; The DJBooth will be selling and streaming the collaborators’ Junk Food & Vegetables EP when it drops digitally Tuesday, July 15. Click here to pre-order the set on iTunes.

Update: We have added the Aris Jerome-directed visuals for Erk Tha Jerk’s Wizard of Oz single.
