We Got Next Mixtape

The biggest thing in the Bryan/College Station area of Texas is Texas A&M University (in particular Aggies athletics).  Coming in at a close second, though, is Mexican-American rapper/producer, Essay Potna.  Signed to fellow Texan Lil’ Flip‘s Clover G Records, Essay shows off his ‘freshness’ and challenges the listener to Get Like Me.  Sure enough, Essay’s Texan-style love-it-or-leave it attitude, cool delivery, and minimalist production stand out among the crowd.  Be sure to check out the rest of the Clover G roster when the We Got Next mixtape hits the streets November 27; you’d be surprised to hear the talent Flip Gates has gathered for his roster.  Who might be Texas’ next big thing?
