Fabolous - For the Love

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
StreetRunner
Album:
The Soul Tape 2

Striking it rich in the hip-hop game is a beautiful thing but, when you take your financial success as license to maintain a proportionately lavish standard of living without making allowances for future changes in fortune, disaster almost inevitably follows. (I’d reference MC Hammer here, but I’m afraid he’d release a wack diss track against me.) Like the wise ant in Aesop’s fable, Fabolous advises his peers to Do It for the Love and stash the paper away for a rainy day on the lead single off his next street album. StreetRunner produces, flipping a lush vintage-soul sample as the Northeastern mainstay outlines his philosophy on the hustle in one long, unbroken verse. Fans will be able to find Do It for the Love and much more on The Soul Tape 2, scheduled for release November 22 (aka Thanksgiving).
