Considering that Fat Joe‘s fall 2011 single found him boasting of his knack for repeat performances in the bedroom, the absence of an official remix to date has been glaring. Today, the Big Apple veteran finally returns to our pages for Another Round—and this time, Mary J. Blige, Fabolous and Kirko Bangz are joining in on the fun. (Pause.) Young Ladd‘s silky-smooth flip of Troop’s 1989 single, I Will Always Love You, sets the stage for all-new bars from Joey Crack (Highlight: “I wanna tear them sheets off ya like Hulkamania”) and Loso (Highlight: hearing “Lunchables” rhymed with “Huxtable”), as well as a sung closing 16 from Bangz. Mary J. Blige is, somewhat sadly, confined to the background, but her melismatic vocal flourishes complement original hookman Chris Breezy‘s chorus so well it’s hard to complain about her lack of face time. How about it, readers: think this jam’s just as good the second time ‘round? You’ll be able to find the original version of this cut and much more on Joe’s currently-untitled, unscheduled 11th full-length. (The Darkside Vol. 2, the project on which it was originally slated for inclusion, was released as a free mixtape in October.)
