Last week, in response to the chaos in Ferguson, Missouri, ATL-by-way-of-Detroit twosome FatKidsBrotha coined the popular hashtag #TwoWrongsCanMakeARiot. Now, that phrase has become the hook of a brand new promo single. The duo’s first feature on our front page since dropping NWA way back in 2012, this cut finds partners-in-rhyme Dav.E and Johnny (also members of Booth-featured crew Two-9) cheering on the protestors who have chosen to fight back against police violence: “They throw us in jail, we rebel, so f**k it, start a Riot.Ducko McFly crafts the gritty synth beat, which is peppered with gunshot effects and thematically-appropriate samples from local news broadcasts. Riot isn’t part of a larger set, but we’ll keep you posted on FatKidsBrotha’s plans as we learn more.
