Fiend - Know What Is Like

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
Cookin Soul
Album:
Lil Guetto Boy

Not featured on the solo tip since introducing himself with We Get High way back in July of 2011, veteran New Orleans rapper/producer Fiend makes his long-awaited return to our pages with mixtape single Know What Is Like. Here, Cookin’ Soul‘s slow-rolling, lightly funky sample work backs the Jet Life signee as he strives to articulate the struggle, desperation and ruthlessness of the street life in language that outsiders will be able to understand. Whether it’s possible to succeed in that mission, I don’t know, but the attempt makes for a vivid and compelling listen. Fans will be able to find What Is Like and much more on Fiend’s Lil Guetto Boy street album, which has yet to receive a solid drop date. Keep it locked for further details on the set, as well as the latest song releases.
