Flo Rida - I Cry

I never thought I’d ever say

write this but Brenda Russell’s late 80’s, emo hit Piano In The Dark has really been making the rounds lately. Seriously though, the song was sampled last year on Bingo Players’ Cry (Just A Little) and now Floridian emcee Flo Rida has added his own twist to the late 80’s record on video single I Cry. Flo’s version of the record takes on a much more upbeat vibe, which will most certainly slide into place next to the extensive catalog of hip-pop hit singles the hitmaker has released. On Cry the Atlantic Records emcee drops his clubby, swagged out verses in between the song’s call-out hook, which is where producers soFLY and Nius placed the Piano In The Dark sample. I Cry is featured on Flo Rida’s Wild Ones album, out now.
