The 112th entry in our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series comes courtesy of Fly Gypsy, the D.C. rapper-producer duo first featured on reader-acclaimed mixtape track Wildflower. On the brand new, previously-unreleased Nu Dope freestyle, emcee Komplex flows over beatsmith Alexei‘s boardwork from Fly Gypsy’s current single, 2 Step. Fly Gypsy are currently preparing for the December 1 release of their latest studio album, Change for a Dollar, and will be heading out on tour starting in January. Watch for new single You to drop later this month, along with a video shot in Jamaica and directed by Ras Kassa. Fans can also check out Fly Gypsy’s recently-released Vodka & Rum mixtape, out now and available for free download at flygypsy.com.
