Brooklyn's Don Diva

You never seen a star cry?/ I gave you my life, and my blood, sweat and tears/Hip-Hop’s bad girl for ten f*ckin’ years,” beseeches the currently incarcerated rapper, Foxy Brown, on her new single Star Cry.  If it isn’t enough that Brooklyn’s Don Diva will be locked away when her new album drops on February 5th, a New York judge recently denied Brown’s request to travel to California for medical purposes involving her cochlear implant.  Regardless, the self-proclaimed bad girl is earnest and telling about all the controversy she has endured over the last few years.  Backed by a simplistic beat courtesy of the Stereotypes, Brown might very well have the most ironically-titled single in the history of rap music.
