Freddie Gibbs - Crushin’ Feelin’s

Producer:
Statik Selektah
Album:
Str8 Killa No Filla

If hateitude could be converted into currency, this recession would already be an afterthought. You could buy groceries with hate, pay bills with complaints, even go see concerts just to tell everyone “Yeah, it wasn’t that great,” all with that unchecked aggression. In this new economy, Freddie Gibbs feels that he’d be a wealthy man, and does his part to shine the light on these ill-wishers in his new track, Crushin’ Feelin’s. Backed by an impressive beat from Statik Selektah that could easily pass in its own right for jam band session, Gibbs brings his tireless rhymes to let everyone know that he’s here to stay and work the game in his own manner, regardless of others’ opinions: “I can easily bring you defeat with my vernacular/ I’m too deep in the streets to be beefing with a rapper.” This is the first leak off his new album Str8 Killa No Filla, due out March 10. As always, keep it locked to the Booth for more.
