G-Scott - The Butterfly Effect

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
El Schmitty

As popularized in the 2004 Ashton Kutcher vehicle of the same name, chaos theory’s concept of The Butterfly Effect suggests that an event as seemingly inconsequential as a butterfly beating its wings can have massive indirect consequences. Well, hip-hop fans owe a big “thank you” to whichever bug wiggled an extremity and inspired G-Scott to create his latest single; if it weren’t for him/her/it, our Wednesday would be considerably less dope. El Schmitty handles productions on this whip-ready cut, layering reedy harpsichord and ominous choral vocals over a trap-infused rhythm section. Lyrically, Scott matches the instrumental’s intensity, emphasizing his determination to succeed in aggressively-flowed verses. Butterfly Effect is only a loosie, but fans should watch the Booth for further singles from the Gary, Indiana native, as well as info on any projects he might have coming down the pike.
