Gee Watts - Gator Dance / Dreams

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
Arkutec

Four months removed from the release of his Booth-hosted 199x LP, Gee Watts is nearly ready to move on to his next project. As a sendoff, the Kansas City rhymesayer’s unleashed a two-part video single off the reader-approved set. Gator Dance and Dreams both feature Watts delivering introspective bars over soulful, downtempo production by Arkutec, but their juxtaposition brings out subtle differences in flavor. Director Kendu‘s understated visuals further emphasize the shift in tone. Haven’t copped the album yet? You’re in luck; 199x is still available for streaming and purchase in The DJBooth.
