Ghostface ft. John Legend - Let’s Stop Playin’

Posted 7 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Sean C & LV
Album:
Ghostdini: The Wizard of Poetry in Emerald City

In a recent video interview, Ghostface Killah calmly gave his rebuttal to all who think there should be a mandatory retirement age for rappers: to paraphrase, an artist should keep going as long as his or her heart’s in it, while remaining open to stylistic growth and evolution.  On his forthcoming eighth album, Ghostdini: The Wizard of Poetry in Emerald City (out Sept. 29th), Ghostface will showcase the latest stage in his own artistic evolution, supplementing his classic flows with softer beats and R&B guest features. Like current single BabyLet’s Stop Playin’ (recently released for purchase on iTunes but not being promoted as an single) finds the reformed playboy addressing the theme of commitment, this time with the help of R&B hitmaker John Legend.  Over Sean C & LV‘s soothing boardwork, Tony Starks lets his lady know just how serious he is about the relationship, hoping she feels the same way.  So, what inspired the Iron Man to change his musical approach?  Find out next week, when Ghostface Killah steps into the Booth for an exclusive interview with DJ Z!
