The Michael Jordan Theory EP

In both rap and b-ball, pulling off a truly stunning victory isn’t simply a matter of scoring more points than the other guys; you’ve got to keep the fans on the edge of their seats throughout the game, clinching your win at the last possible nanosecond. GhostWridah knows what I’m talking about; on newly-leaked EP standout Buzzer Beater, the Miami representative steps into the shoes of Michael Jordan in game six of the ‘98 NBA Finals, driving across the court to score the winning point against the Utah Jazz - thereby clinching the title - before the clock hits zero. Over an appropriately intense synth beat created by Slot-A (and accented by samples from the aforementioned game), Ghost delivers a metaphorical chronicle of his successes to date. Not that he’s anywhere near satisfied: “On my first ring, feelin’ like I need five more / Legendary status the only thing that I strive for.” Fans can find this triumphant jam and much more on GhostWridah’s just-dropped The Michael Jordan Theory EP, available now for download via the artist’s Bandcamp page.
