Gods’illa ft. Substantial & KingPen Slim - Everybody

Posted 5 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Joe D.
Album:
CPR Blendtape

Haven’t you always wondered, “If Erykah Badu hosted a mixtape, which artists would grace it’s cover?” Yeah, me neither, but since the CPR Blendtape is doing just that, I have to say it made me pretty damn interested to check out the lineup. Of the distinct members selected, it’s no surprise to see the brothers of Gods’Illa in the running (sorry guys, I’m afraid no Plies on here). With their new single, Everybody, the fraternity enlists the talents of Substantial (welcome back) and DMV representative Kingpen Slim on a song that reminds listeners of the need to step their game up, and does so in a proper head-nodding fashion. The production that Joe D. lays down fits the mood nicely, allowing for the Illa to continue their impressive streak of breaking the mold in the hip-hop industry. If you like this one, be sure to take a look at Badu’s project dropping April 29 via The Smoking Section. And if you’re like Everybody that has good taste, keep it locked to the Booth for more.
